LeoVegas Casino Review

Gustaf Hagman and Robin Ramm-Ericson knew they were somewhat late to the online casino party when they came up with LeoVegas in 2011. A lot of other brands were doing it already and doing it well. However, they could see that mobile gaming was still something of an untapped resource and so this is where they placed their focus.

This was an astute move and it placed the company perfectly to take advantage of the technological advances that were happening and lightning pace in the mobile industry. LeoVegas are the self appointed King of Mobile Gaming which many others would seem to agree with, since they seemingly hold more awards than some online casinos have games in their library.

A multi-platform casino through and through, at LeoVegas you can play games from scores of different developers from your desktop or your mobile, and since this is a place designed for one thing and one thing only, your experience will be a fun one.

Software, Platform, Games

The website is powered by a multitude of different game providers, and they are all names that you will recognise; Quickspin, NetEnt, and Yggdrasil are among them, as are Microgaming, Play’N GO, and IGT. This gives you some idea of the teeth LeoVegas have got.

All games are instant play so there is nothing to download, and they won’t waste your time in loading as they are up and running in a matter of seconds.

LeoVegas Games

Moving around the site couldn’t be much easier, and since it is essentially an extension of their app it is much simpler than many of its competitors, but this is not to its detriment. There is a useful search bar for zeroing in on specific games, and the ability to filter by game type thereafter. After this it is simply a case of scrolling annoyingly, and there is no particular order either, but this is the only issue we could find.

It is a colourful characterful place to play, with the themes of headline games providing the backdrop and keeping things interesting while constantly shifting the tone as they alternate. It feels up to the minute and on point.

Slots – If there is a slot that isn’t in this collection on 1200+ then it’s probably not worth playing. A few that definitely are worth playing are Bonanza and Book of Oz.

Jackpots – This is Mecca for jackpot hunters, with 70 to try your luck on. There is even a Must Fall Jackpots section for those that are about to blow.

Live Casino – We have never seen a busier Live Casino quite frankly. The 150+ games are made up of a LOT of Blackjack and Roulette tables plus more Game Show type variants than usual. Thanks Evolution Gaming!

Table Games – 60 games live here, with a pretty even split between Blackjack and Roulette and the rest being made up of Poker variations like Pai Gow and Hold ‘Em.

Instant Win – Quick and to the point, there are 21 options in this section requiring no effort at all. The Irish theme comes up a lot with Pot Luck and Rainbow Riches Leapin’ Leprechauns.

Classic Games – Their slots but as they used to be. Take a trip down memory lane with these 25 legends like Joker Poker and Wild Melon.

Your VIP level is always showing at the top of the screen to spur you on as you game your way through this gigantic library but that will take care of itself, you just play as you normally would. Although if you would normally play Video Poker then you won’t be able to as it doesn’t seem to be available at LeoVegas. Soz.

Mobile

LeoVegas MobileThe LeoVegas App is their calling card, so it’s hardly surprising that it is a brilliant place for mobile gaming. While most other online casinos take their desktop site and have to scale it down, LeoVegas prioritised their mobile product and then scaled it up.

It is well proportioned, the graphics are great, and all of the options seem to be right where you want them to be. Anything that isn’t gaming is handled via the Menu button although there are also some quick links to Deposit, Categories, Search (for specific games), and My Games where you can keep your favourites and keep track of recently played games.

The Categories section is particularly well thought through, categorising games not just by their type but also by a few features too like Free Spins and Pick n Click (pick me) features.

There are well over 1100 Slots, 45 Table Games, almost 70 Jackpots, as well as the Live Casino, Instant Wins and more. Choice and variety, therefore, will not be an issue. Your biggest problem will be searching through them all.

Performance won’t be an issue either. The app is relatively quick to load and even quicker to run once it gets going. Loading a game should only take 4 or 5 seconds and hand in hand with the search function and your favourites list you could be logged on and playing your favourite slot in no time.

Banking

This is another category where LeoVegas score highly. There are no fees which is always good to see (although if you make too many requests in a single month they may start charging a small fee, which is fair enough) and plenty of options.

If you are looking at the table below and thinking the withdrawal time frames seem long, well, we agree, but in reality, it is unlikely to take this long if you have already verified your identity. Requests are usually processed on the same day but they have to cover their backs.

High rollers might be a little disappointed with the maximum deposit limits but these are only defaults, so if you get in touch we are sure they will accommodate you.

About

LeoVegas Icon SymbolLeoVegas was dreamed up back in 2011/12 as an early contender for the throne of mobile gaming champion. At that time, not many online casinos were prioritising mobile gaming so this was something that made them stand out from the crowd, and they have stayed true to their roots ever since.

Leo is apparently Latin for Lion (as well as being the name of the star sign), and we all know about Vegas, so that explains where the name came from, and it’s fair to say that the company have enjoyed roaring success since they launched.

If you don’t believe us then let the trophy room speak for itself; LeoVegas have won a stack of awards including but not limited to: Mobile Casino Product of the Year at the EGR Operator Awards in 2017 and 2018; Online Casino Operator of the Year at the International Gaming Awards in 2017; and Best Native App at the EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards in 2017. In fact, they haven’t failed to win an award in any given year since 2013 and they are not yet a decade old.

LeoVegas Paw Print IconThey have offices all over Europe, including the UK, although their headquarters are in Sweden where the company originated, and they employ over 900 staff. Growth has clearly been rapid then with a few acquisitions along the way (Royal Panda being one), but they have also had their wrists slapped on occasion, not least when they were fined £600,000 by the UK Gambling Commission in 2018 for misleading advertising and failings towards players who had self-excluded.

Customer Support

LeoVegas Customer SupportYou can’t ask for much more than a 24/7 customer support service via phone, live chat, or email, and that is exactly what you get with LeoVegas. They are clearly ready and willing to get stuck in and help you out.

There is an easily accessible support section broken down into categories, and a scaled down version built into the live chat box too. It’s fairly user friendly but jars in places, although it covers anything obvious and the support team can help out with the rest.

They have always been quick to answer the call when we have spoken to them, and since all options are so easy to find LeoVegas feels like a casino that values its players.
