Direct from the capital, Rialto Casino aims to bring all the excitement and atmosphere of its real life namesake to the online world, offering a unique take on what an online casino can be and doing so with confidence.

Their online casino is a shining example of what is possible when effort is applied, and as you might expect from a site with roots in the real world, table games and live casino play a big role here. In fact, you can even play on tables in the real Rialto casinos via live stream.

There are well over 1000 games to try with a preference for developers who also have experience in land based slot machines, which helps to further differentiate Rialto from the rest and keep the site feeling like an addition to their casino portfolio rather than an off shoot.

Working with Daub Alderney, Rialto have created a site that runs neatly and quickly as well as having a unique appearance when so many other online casinos have cookie cutter websites.

The brand obviously want to make it clear that they are not just another online casino, and the interface isn’t the only way they do this.

Their list of games mimics what you might find in their land based casinos, so many of the slots have real life counterparts that you could play if you visited their Leicester Sq site, for instance. The providers themselves are the likes of Novomatic (they even have their own section on the menu) and IGT who both started life manufacturing gaming cabinets, but they do have top online only developers too like Playn’Go, Eyecon and Microgaming.

Their traditional casino game selection is incredibly varied and much more impressive than at most other online casinos. In fact, this site is as much about table games and live casino as it is about slots; they have really tried to recreate the atmosphere of a high street casino with their product choice.

To top it all off, the navigation system goes above and beyond, providing simple mechanics for getting around the site at the same time as utilising useful ways to find new games, such as filtering by game feature, paylines, or provider; so useful.

A lot of online casinos essentially take their desktop site and condense it to create a mobile version, or alternatively, newer sites might create an app as a first port of call and then blow it up so that their desktop site is more or less on giant app.

Rialto’s mobile app does resemble the desktop site closely, but it is clearly its own animal. Navigation has been tweaked to optimise the user experience depending on the device they are using, and it is so intuitive you feel like you have been using it for years.

You will sacrifice nothing noticeable in terms of content by gaming on the smaller screen, and both the app and the mobile site function in the same way.

Unfortunately, we don’t have good news in terms of speed and performance. The app seemed to crash on us several times and while the mobile website fared much better, it was pretty slow to load when jumping between ‘table games’ and ‘all games’, for example.

We love the brand and we love the website, but in all honesty the mobile product just isn’t ready. It looks fantastic and has been designed very well too in terms of usability, but it just doesn’t have the power to support the heavy load.

This will no doubt improve dramatically in due course, but for now we would stick to the desktop site.
