Mr Play opened as a casino in 2017, immediately proving popular with its playful moustachioed approach.
Industry relationships were strong from the start, and launching with an excellent suite of numerous games from well loved developers was a real statement of intent. The number of games has already passed the 700 mark and they are still a relatively young brand.
The sportsbook followed two years later in 2019, fleshing out the offering and becoming a multi-product gambling site, appealing to a wider range of customers.

If you were a novice gambler, someone who only gambles occasionally, or just someone who likes life to be easy, then Mr Play’s website will be a perfect fit.
There is nothing complicated about this site, even the sportsbook with all of its information and complex sports/leagues/matches search options have been laid out clearly and intuitively so that the user isn’t bamboozled just by looking at them.
It’s fast too, especially when working within the interface itself (as opposed to page loads, which are certainly not sluggish either), with actions like switching between sports happening lighting quick.
One design flaw is that when selecting a sport at the bottom of the A-Z list, you obviously have to scroll down to it, but you then have to manually scroll back up to the top to see the selections. It’s a little thing but if you plan to use the site a lot it could get old fast.
Apart from that though it’s a very well designed, user friendly site with everything a sports bettor and/or casino player could need to enjoy themselves.
They have kept the interface all about the fun stuff, with everything account related hidden under a menu button. This keeps every page neat and relevant, but at the same time access to account features like safe gambling tools, help, transaction history etc. are only a click away.

You can use Mr Play via a device using the mobile optimised site or the apps that is now available. Both options are more or less the same thing in terms of user experience.
Continuing the theme from the main site, the Mr Play mobile site/app is a dream come true for anyone sick and tired of apps trying to be clever.
It’s simple, user friendly, and it does what it says on the tin – with a bit more style as well to be fair. It’s not a boring site by any stretch of the imagination.

Probably not the most obvious sports betting brand, but you might be surprised by what you find here, especially given the sportsbook only launched in 2019.
It’s powered by BtoBet which is a huge help, as they have one of the best sports betting platforms in the industry, especially when it comes to live betting, but we will get onto that shortly.
The betting options are a little fewer here than at some of the bigger brands perhaps, but only by a handful, and you won’t be missing out on any major sports like football, cricket or tennis, it will be more obscure stuff.
Horse and greyhound racing are both available, both mainly geared towards UK and Irish races but internationals can also be spotted sometimes.
There are special or novelty bets available, as well as options like Esports, bandy, and futsal, but this shouldn’t be considered a area of expertise for Mr Play. They are nice options to have but you won’t find market depth in these sorts of categories that can’t be beaten elsewhere.
Market depth varies depending on the sport and league, with English football markets available on the National League and even professional development matches, whereas sports like rugby are limited to the more widely followed leagues and competitions.

There’s no live streaming (apart from esports), but that aside BtoBet offers one of the best live betting platforms in existence straight out of the box, so Mr Play are well placed in this department.
The key to the success of this in-play betting service is the combination of simple design making navigation and browsing selections easy, and excellent features such as the match graphic and match stats adding value.

Neither are searchable which is one minor improvement that could be made, but that really is critique for critique’s sake. The support here is very good.
